A Prayer of Jesus

Luke 24:50-53 (NLT)
Then Jesus led them to Bethany, and lifting his hands to heaven, he blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up to heaven. They worshiped him and then returned to Jerusalem filled with great joy. And they spent all of their time in the Temple, praising God.

A Theme to Remember:
While the disciples were no doubt saddened, and perhaps more than a little frightened, that their Lord had risen to heaven, they were heartened by His promise that a Comforter would be sent to them and they were filled with triumphant gladness that the work of the Savior had been completed – both for them and for all who accepted the Gospel message they would soon be delivering.

Words to Remember:
We should always honor and reverence Him as if we were always in His bodily presence.
