I’m sure most of you have read the story or seen the cartoon (or movie)101 Dalmatians. Can you recall the name of the 19th Dalmatian? Let’s see: there’s Pongo, Perdita, Patch, Rolly, Penny, uh…. He doesn’t have a name — at least in the story. He’s an anonymous dog! Ever felt like the nineteenth Dalmatian, sort of nameless, unknown, uncared about?
I want to tell you, you’re not unknown or insignificant to God! Listen to what He says of you: “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands” Isaiah 49:15-16.
When you see the hands of Jesus what do you see? Scars for you. When Jesus looks at His hands who does He think of? You!
